3 True I Development
- Level 1 - Blind instinct act I.
- Where all the suffering comes from
- No contradiction - just blindness
- Level 2 - Dharma development self centre-I. / Contradiction-I
- Suffering and wisdom are mixed.
- Contradiction between blindness and developing wisdom, kindness and spiritual karma.
- Aware of body reality of developing awareness - breathing, posture, motion, intention, energy, heart - not just ideas. Without training, if not aware of your body what can you be aware of? Stephen Hawking. Bodhidharma bring many wisdom systems to Shaolin. Dedicate everyday for lifetime to train it.
Level 1 & 2 is where the reincarnation stage .
Level 3 ? Awaken I
(This level we can stop reincarnation and all suffering and at any time into nirvana)
- See spiritual signs when pure - Buddha and Bodhisattva connect immediately
- Like the difference between seeing the moons reflection on the water. When wind blow cannot see it. When calm can see it. Moon is creation from spiritual consciousness. Can develop ability to share spiritual awakening force to help other life free from suffering.
Number 1: Original I
- Instinct I – also called Blind I or Blind Act.
- Born with it, automatically running. Human = animal with spirit, but not aware.
- Creates blindness, creates suffering.
- Not about getting rid of it, because that just creates another I. “I want to get rid of illusion I” is itself more illusion and ego.
- The task is to take care of it, heal it, purify it.
- We searching for ourselves - but consciousness have no form - journey begins
Eight Consciousness King
- All are in the Original I.
- Hidden consciousness becomes I-consciousness, sub-consciousness (eyes, ears, nose, tongue, touch) and brain consciousness.
- Separated as 8 because their functions are different. Different abilities create different functions, but truly still one—just separated to help analysis.
Heart
- No one can give you a heart, because then it comes from others, and then it has no self.
- Heart cannot be created; you need something to create it. It is yourself. Not creatable by others.
- True force of life is our heart—our own power.
- Can be blind or can be awakened.
- Has 8 functions (Eight Consciousness King).
The Process
- Instinct
- Mental consciousness awakens → mental map
- True awakening is wisdom–intuition power
- Awareness ability is blind because it doesn’t have wisdom yet.
- But it has the power to remain always pure: true heart, eternal, no beginning, no end.
- Already have this power, will never fail, always have the chance to become perfect.
- That is why Buddha and Bodhisattva are eternally patient—because every life can awaken.
- Also called Buddhahood.
Practice
- Use all wisdom to create child-heart: out of worry, joyfully wanting to understand life.
- Live free in the present.
- Constantly care for the body with centre; open all the joints; free to move at every angle.
Instinct → Intuition = Awakening
Procedure to Awaken
- Amazing Observing Dharma
- Complete Logic ability awakened through mind
Healing Meditation – heal all three:
- Physical – tension and pain
- Psychological – stress becomes psycho problem
- Mind – worry
Body Meditation – train the body
- Tai Chi
- Energy meditation
Awakening Heart
- Stay in right awareness of life
Wisdom–Intuition Power
- Daoism: eternal development
- Buddhism: unlimited development
Number 2: Contradiction I
- Inside system of Blind birth, aging, illness and death. Fear and worry repeat, reincarnation running.
- Second stage of consciousness.
- Other names: Developing I, Searching I, Try-hard I, Discipline I, Patient I, Concentration I, Self-centred I, Judgmental I, Comparing I.
Amitabha Buddha System
- Without it, awakening takes trillions and trillions of lifetimes.
Body and Causation
- The body is a tool that controls us.
- The body is not self; it is causation. Causation = no self.
- Experience connects to the world. World = causation. Also no self.
- Experience becomes feeling. Feelings come and go. Even “no feeling” is still a feeling.
- Feeling is the no-beginning–no-end result of causation.
- Until one can overcome all causation that controls feeling, there is no awakening.
- Until then, all I and mine are taken as real, so awakening cannot happen.
Awareness
- Heart must be aware: “I don’t want to be blind.” Then awakening begins.
- Like a rope tied with knots—you must undo the last knot first, which is thinking.
- Thinking is the last to develop, so it is the first knot to release.
Number 3: No beginning, no end - Awakening Dharma I
- Mysterious!
