Diamond Sutra Meditation Method :

Diamond Sutra Meditation Method :

Meditation of Wondrous Observing Wisdom

    • Based on the Three Marks of Dharma: “All conditioned phenomena are impermanent, all dharmas are without a self, and Nirvana is peace and stillness.”
    • Realize that: “All appearances are illusory. If one sees that appearances are not truly appearances, then one perceives the Tathāgata (the Buddha).”
  • Sifu explanation:
    • Observing Dharma awakening meditation
    • We always observe through ego. We are locked without realising we are locked and even support being locked.
    • Observe 3 Eternal Truthes. Then through that ablity to observe life. Brain consciousness meditation. Brain is no longer stuck in I and mine keyhole view, blind greedy desire view. You develop wisdom to be free form the trick. Realise everything is incredible.
    • We always against changing, against the whole universe, want to hold everything, keep us stuck in reincarnation. But instead wisdom to find harmony with changes. Aware, pure heart to observe again. Thats why first condition Pure Land is hold nothing.

Non-Abiding Awareness Meditation / Hold Nothing, Awakened Essence Meditation.

    • Through meditative concentration, one transcends the six consciousnesses and directly experiences the pure, luminous true nature of mind.
    • “All Bodhisattva-Mahāsattvas should thus give rise to a pure mind: they should not let the mind abide in form, nor in sound, smell, taste, touch, or dharmas. They should give rise to the mind without abiding anywhere.”
  • Sifu explains:
    • First one above is through brain consciousness - incredible. Now no more brain consciousness.

Dependent Arising and Non-Self Meditation

    • By contemplating that all phenomena arise through dependent conditions and temporary aggregation, one lets go of all attachments.
    • “All dharmas are illusory appearances—there is no self, no person, no sentient being, and no enduring life-span.”

Meditation on the Emptiness of the Delusive Mind Across the Three Times

    • By realizing that nothing whatsoever can be attained or grasped, one releases the delusive mind tied to the three times (past, present, and future).

The Tathāgata teaches that all minds are in fact no-mind; therefore, they are merely designated as “mind.” Why is this so, Subhūti? “The past mind cannot be grasped, the present mind cannot be grasped, and the future mind cannot be grasped.”

Meditation on Cultivating All Wholesome Dharmas

    • All dharmas are equal, without superiority or inferiority; this is called Anuttarā-samyak-saṃbodhi (Unsurpassed, Complete, Perfect Enlightenment).
    • By cultivating all wholesome dharmas with no notion of self, no person, no sentient being, and no life-span, one attains Anuttarā-samyak-saṃbodhi.

Meditation on Teaching the Dharma to Liberate Sentient Beings

    • If there are good men and good women who give rise to the Bodhi-mind, uphold, recite, and expound the Diamond Sutra to others; their merit and Dharma-joy are immeasurable. Why is this so?
    • “All conditioned phenomena are like a dream, an illusion, a bubble, a shadow; like dew and like lightning—thus should one contemplate them.”
