A poem on life, death and destiny — how the three poisons come to rest and mud becomes a lotus.

生命

無始貪嗔痴三毒永息。
無邊煩惱及麈勞永寂。
無止恐怖之苦厄永滅。

動禪靈覺，靈動入定。無求歸菩提，有願渡世間，真心本具如來光明德性。

三千熣燦世界，無盡天道銀河輪轉。
天眼通收盡。

十方法喜梵音，無量大道天籟流轉。
天耳通聆聽。

自性金剛不壞，不可思議那羅延體。
他心通顯靈。

莊嚴寶藏淨土，無上光明普照佛界。
如意通化現。

因緣宿世業力，一念觀照普知眾生。
宿命通感應。

大智大悲佛願，平等渡化眾生。

與我覺醒,
同觀古今未來，
共悟剎那永恆。

生命是輪迴生死。
有生則必有死，
有亡亦必再生。

生命乃命運變數。
命為前世定數，
運則當下變數。

三界唯心現，
萬法唯識變。

化汚泥為妙香法蓮，
轉輪迴成極樂淨土。

From beginningless time,
the poisons of greed, anger, and ignorance can finally come to rest.
Endless troubles and worldly burdens can become completely still.
All fears and suffering can eventually disappear.

Moving meditation awakens the spirit;
a clear mind enters quiet absorption.
With no personal desires, we return to enlightenment;
with sincere vows, we help the world.
Our true heart already contains the Buddha’s light and virtue.

The three thousand shining worlds
and the endless heavenly realms all keep turning.
The Heavenly Eye sees them completely.

The joyful sounds of all ten directions,
the limitless harmony of the great Way,
flow like celestial music.
The Heavenly Ear hears them clearly.

Our true nature is indestructible like diamond,
a mysterious and powerful inner body.
The Knowing of Other Minds reveals itself.

The pure lands are adorned like precious treasures,
boundless light shines throughout all Buddha realms.
The Miraculous Power of Manifestation appears freely.

Because of past causes and karmic forces,
one thought of awareness can understand all beings.
The Knowledge of Past Lives responds naturally.

Great wisdom and great compassion
fulfill the Buddha’s vow
to guide all beings equally.

Awaken with me,
watching past, present, and future together,
realizing the eternal within every moment.

Life is the cycle of birth and death.
If there is birth, there will be death;
if there is death, there will be rebirth.

Life is a play of fate and change.
“Fate” is shaped by past lives;
“Change” is created in this very moment.

The three realms arise only from the mind.
All phenomena transform according to consciousness.

Turn muddy suffering into a fragrant lotus of the Dharma;
transform the wheel of rebirth into the Pure Land of bliss.
