You may have a map, but you never travel

Buddha teaches: don’t follow him—follow the Dharma. True mastery comes from living it: no tension, no “I,” full-body awareness, and disciplined daily practice. Combine breath, healing, and martial arts systems to awaken your full life force and live the Dharma in every moment.

You may have a map, but you never travel
Buddha says:
“I’m not here to convince you to follow me. I ask you to follow the Dharma.”

Siddhartha was already a Yoga master.

A student asked, “How come after 30 years, I haven’t yet reached a high level?”

Buddha replied:
Live in no beginning, no end.
Be present.
Breathe.
Let blood flow.
Keep centre line posture nonstop.
Be aware intention nonstop.
Body awareness and motion—this is Taiji.
Slow down.
Be aware of gravity.
No “I” in training.

The Buddha sits, walks, moves with no tension.
Harmony in walking, lying down—his posture is beautiful.
He lives in this state.
Aware of all that is going on.

You students have learned from the mind—
Language, mental logic games—
But you don’t live in it.

You may have a map, but you never travel.

You can’t just “be aware” of all this—you need a system.
Dharma has many systems.

Training Systems

Introduction:
Dharma is training in every present moment.
Your full life force becomes available.
Enjoy the practice.

Breathing Systems

  • Dragon Breath

Healing Systems

  • Tui Na
  • Needling
  • Stretching / Yoga
  • Massage

Training

  • Tong Zi Gong – from childhood, flexible training
  • Greatest Yoga: Qian Kun / Yi Jin Jing – ligaments stay flexible and strong
  • Xi Sui Jing – Bone marrow washing; high-level quality
  • Golden Bell (Jin Zhong Zhao) – Concentration becomes hard power

Origins – Ancient Kung Fu Legends

  • Qian Kun vs. Taiji
    • Qian Kun = Universal opposing force. It would break humans.
      • Heaven = Big Bang (creates universe)
      • Earth = Black Hole (destroys universe)
    • Both are Daoist energy-god systems for martial training.
  • Origins:
    • Qian Kun – From Fuxi
    • Taiji – From Zhang San Feng
    • Taiji symbol – from Fuxi
    • Qian Kun – Brings power from Heaven to Earth through 7 chakras
    • Taiji – Starts from the foot, moves upward, opens consciousness outward
    • From god to human becomes Taiji

What’s the Difference?

  • Yi Jin Jing – Extreme flexibility and strength
    • Flow into pose
    • Stretch, open to release energy
    • Rotation = functional muscle development
  • Taiji – Flow with energy to open

Combined Centre Training

Three types of “core”:

  1. Yi Jin Jing – Tendon and muscle create centre
  2. Taiji – Energy laser line (weaker unless used explosively)
  3. Bone Core (Duan Gu) – Shaolin style, neck stacked
The highest skill: Be aware of all three
as the Buddhist centre
is above all of this

Those students who reach a very high level have mastered all of this.
