Uncovering the Tai Chi Master's secret: Moving Meditation out of body

How to Get a Higher Level
Like a Circle, Perfect is in Every Present
- A circle needs a perfect angle to come around and back to join. If any angle is a little bit wrong and not smooth, it will not come back and connect.
- To make a perfect circle needs every present moment to be precise in every detail.
- That is one of my top secrets.
- Make every move aware of every detail in my body.
- Be aware of mentality, being, intention, psychology, and attitude. When I’m aware of them, I can correct them.
- Then I can observe: Did I give myself too much stress to do it? Did I stress myself because people are watching me?
- This information helps to make that perfect circle appear: precise discipline, control angle, position your body, and energy.
- You can become professional.
The Master's Skill: Observe Masters Outside of Martial Arts
- You have to practice to make what I say become automatic and subconscious; then you are a master.
- Examples: Can be anything! Even pen flicking, darts, snooker, and dancing.
- These can make art; the action looks so fast and effortless.
- Make something so abstract repeat and be perfect every time. Make something so difficult and abstract repeat again. Control smooth and slow, fast, the relationship with the centre, and the relationship with the opponent.
- If you can’t control yourself, it is much more difficult with an opponent. All the masters know to use that perfect circle idea; they create a perfect circle and then they can use intuition to control it.
- Because even if you make the perfect circle appear one time, you may not be able to stay with it.
- Highest masters want to remain that perfect; they have to spend almost their entire lives taking care of their condition to maintain that.
- I am not talking about flexibility and stretching only; I’m talking about meditation, being aware of all the details, and practice. Keep yourself aware of all those details and as many angles as you can.
Air Man Technique
- Air man is a high technique; if people are not able to touch you, they can’t beat you.
- Try not to get touched. Use "waterman" and footwork to get away and avoid being touched.
- Try two people! Kids' games have the highest technique.
- To make it precise, you need precision to control body awareness.
How Does a Master Like Sifu Practice?
- What I do is not try to move; I try to be aware.
- Try to be aware of what I wasn't aware of before.
- Try to be aware of all the disciplines—did I follow them?
- Try to be aware: Am I lost in the mental effort of trying to be aware, or is there just joy? Create a natural being.
- Do not use the mind so carefully that you get stuck in being "mentally careful."
What is "Empty" for a Master?
- If you have something and try to empty it, then there is still an "I" there.
- For example: If you are aware of silence, you will not try to be aware that you are aware of silence.
- It is actually not even being aware that you are silent; then you are into it deeper.
Observing Life Sound Bodhisattva Technique
This is the fastest way to an out-of-body experience.
- First Stage: Aware of Sound
- Be aware of all sound and be free from attachment. Be non-judgmental and free from your "I." Be free from labels and personal relationships toward those sounds.
- Second Stage: Aware of Body
- Start to lose that attachment and then you are back to your body.
- Then your body will start to correct itself.
- When the body is not attached or hooked to everything, then a natural being starts to direct it into the meditation zone.
- Your whole body will move automatically in a gentle way. Everything straightens and opens into what we are looking for: Taiji, the highest level.
- Third Stage: Aware of Silence
- When you are in perfect balance, you will start to be free from this body.
- You are not even aware of this body. You are aware of silence.
- Something is free from all of these things outside the body.
- It is like existing in a totally different way than normal.
- Everything is calm, peaceful, and quiet. There is no gravity, no tension; it is very joyful.
- The smile goes very deep.
- Normally the third eye can open and you start to see lights.
- That light, joy, and calm motion is whatever you call silence.
- At some point, you will become aware you are in that stage and say, "This is awesome." Then that "awesome" feeling starts to go away because the "I" appears again.
- If you can remain free from that, that joy is silence. The calm feeling will disappear and then you are out of body.
- Fourth Stage: Back to Essence
- Once you lose connection to your body, you are back to your essence.
Sifu’s Development with Moving Meditation
- I have experienced out-of-body many, many times. I have experienced this light, joyful, calm, and free feeling.
- In fact, when I was young, I could suddenly go into it very deeply, but I was not able to stay in it every time. I have developed a skill to go into it every time through moving meditation.
- If I move with philosophy, I change my intention and become free from all connections. I enter that light, free, and delicate state—like a lotus blooming.
- Using hand signals, I slowly become aware of my body like a piece of feather or lotus petals blooming; then you will become very, very light.
- I have become a master of that skill.
- For my own brain consciousness to understand it, I still miss a lot of detail. Now I am trying to be aware of more detail to help you develop it for yourself.
- Now that I have trained to be lighter and lighter through Taiji, it becomes a bridge for me to enter that state quickly.
When You Practice Tai Chi
- Technique:
- You want to be aware of more delicate detail, a lighter feeling, and a "no-I" stress state.
- What to Avoid:
- Avoid trying hard at this or trying hard at that.
- Do not worry or be afraid that you are not doing well.
- Do not have an "I" there saying, "Okay, I am observing myself doing it correctly."
- None of this will help you reach the highest level.
- In the beginning, you need to observe if you are following the procedure. Observe until you know you are really following it and you are no longer resisting it.
- First Stage: Procedure is our Foundation
- Power from the foot.
- Laser line.
- Puma stomach.
- Balloon chest to whole body.
- Out of fingers like a silkworm line.
- Whole body light like a balloon.
- Second Stage: Start of Creation
- Once the foundation is set, you can create feelings of: Water waves, river flowing, waterfall flowing, and a light, cloudy feeling.
- Take a long time to be aware of: Mentality, attitude, character, intention, and the function of Tai Chi.
- Aware until your subconscious can go into it; then you graduate.
- Third Stage: Intuition
- Use intuition to create what you want to appear.
Question: Did you say imagine using a feather, or lotus blooming was a good way for us to start to practice?
Answer:
- When I charge up and then have a falling feeling, I am not "trying to move like a feather."
- I am trying to feel that lightness.
- Then that lightness itself will find the right angle to move in a beautiful way.
- With the lotus blooming, I can feel every cell in my skin blooming. The breathing opens, and that lightness appears from there and goes to my whole body.
- I go through that energy and use hand guiding to transfer that to my whole body; then I can go into deep meditation.
Homework
- Do a small part of your form.
- Go into that delicate, light, and beautiful procedure. Find that timeless and smooth "every present" feeling.
- Use a weapon or no weapon.
- Send the recording 🙂
